Italy: Stromboli Erupts Following Gradual Increase In Volcanic Activity

Lava and pyroclastic flows were recorded in Stromboli in its recent eruption on July 4, a day after a gradual increase of volcanic activity was observed. Red alert level was raised after pyroclastic flows were observed reaching the coastline and extending several hundred meters into the sea.
